stupid cheap freeview box

my freeview box does random things sometimes. normally stuff like changing channel instead of volume; nowt to worry about.

just now though i pressed the info button and it changed the sound to "english, visually impaired"

now i have no proper sound, just some old guy describing what happens

how the feck do i reset it?

change it in settings somewhere perhaps?

have you tried rescanning all the channels? and also, can you get e4? mine doesn't pick it up

could be your outside aerial too

there's nothing about it in settings. and i don't wanna rescan channels because it never gets them all in one go and it puts them in a stupid order.


and yes i have E4 but there's never anything on other than boring bastards live and friends

did you have to change your aerial when you got the box, or did you stick with the one you had up? you might need a different one, or just pointing the one you have in another direction might help

Take the remote apart and clean it, for some reason they sometimes get a build-up of condensation. Cleaned mine and it works perfectly now.

I don't have "english, visually impaired".

We use amplified indoor aerials for the freeview boxes in the sprogs rooms and they work fine.

Pick up all the channels available.
