best country in the world to live in and i'm hella proud of being canadian. i have dual citizenship just like LP (US and CAD), but i'd rather be canadian anyday than american.

Jeff Loomis: He's so good, he doesn't need to be dead to have a tribute.
the only, and absolutely only, complaint i have about canada is the RCAF. crappiest air force in the world, but mostly i hate them for not letting me join
me: "so, i'm interested in joining the Air Force"
recruiter: "ah very well, are you interested in a particular career with the Canadian Air Force?"
me: "yes actually, i want to be a pilot"
recruiter: "ok, now do you have 20/20?"
me: "no, but i can get laser surgery no problem"
recruiter: "wtf, you fucking hax0rz, you stupid n00b"
i think Canada is the only country in the world that has a vision restriction, every other country allows vision corrections, usually laser eye surgery.
Jeff Loomis: He's so good, he doesn't need to be dead to have a tribute.
What you mean vision corrections . Don't you shoot first and ask questions later ? I would .

the canadian forces rules on becoming a pilot (military) is this:Originally Posted by peat moss
you gotta be in shape and smart enough and u need 20/20 uncorrected. while the rest of the world's air forces have the exact same criteria except, 20/20 natural or corrected. as in if u dont have 20/20 vision you can still wear contacts, glasses or laser surgery (the latter is what most militaries want). the only reason i can think of why canada is the only country that inforces this is that our budget is so ridiculously low that this is just another way of telling most canadians: "sorry, not enough money to train new pilot". which leads me to another quesion, theoratical, not actual:
if u have dual citizenship (candadian and american) and you reside in canada, is it possilbe to join the USM? preferabbly the USMC or USAF? question for j2 most likely.
