well it should, so u did sumthin wrong...
i remember when i had hl2 installed the hl1 ssource installed to the user files i beleive, where the hl2 and CSS files were....i meant to say put -game hl1 at hl2.exe desktop shortcut
then i just typed -game hl1 on my shortcut and it werked....

well that already says \Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220
my half life soruce shortcut says \User\Half-Life Source\hl2.exe" -steam -game hl1

No, not hl2.exe. I am talking about something different. There are these weird files that look like a DOS window EXE or something, with a yellow gear on it. This is what I had, and I double clicked this, and it would launch the game.
