Same thing. I've heard bad stories about upgrading from SP1 to SP2 but that was like a year ago. A fresh install of XP with SP2 doens't have any problems, and you can easily disable the annoying Serivce Center by using services.msc, because that's the only thing that would really annoy me about SP2.

think it's mostly companies with large networks that have problems with sp2 for whatever reason, i have installed it on around 5 machines (3 fresh installs) and not had 1 complaint.

i wasn't gonna install SP2 either. I ended up doing it though and there's no problems.

Ya I give my friends a slipstreamed xp pro /sp2 cd when ever they buy a computer, never had a complaint yet.
