I'm running XpPro
Just installed about 8 hours of programs , all these worked perfectly
Then tried to install WinISO
it had a auto unzipper
it sort of got an error trying to unzip
it reckon i didn't have enough free space left (liar liar)
so when i reboot now
as windows nearly completes
a full screen folder called PROGRAM comes up with a empty folder called WinISO
i deleted the empty folder called WinISO
i can just click the top right "X" to get rid of it
or use control alt delete to cancel the process "program"
I can not use the last system restore from 6 hours ago as it says my computer
has not changed (???)
How can i get rid of this nothing startup process called "PROGRAM" ??????
Please reply simply & step by step
I am desperate for help on this , Thankyou

hmm, ok first of all , its not advisable to install more than one program, or a few at a time without restarting
alas , i suggest redoing the whole thing ,
redo the format, and get windows up and running complete and make sure everything is a ok. then do a restore point b4 addaing any other programs
then install programs after restart , do a few installs and do a restore pont ect , till they are all done
once you have all you esential programs installed do a final restore point and that way you have something to go back to
do esential programs first, like antivirus first , then spyware programs , then go from there

XPPro & all of the major programs were installed months ago.
Today i was just installing games.
It had been re-started many times today (as usual)
I must admit though -
the computer had been on for a couple of hours
running Overnet
+ copying a couple 600Mb iso's
while watching a couple 600Mb movies
+ surfing the net
nothing unusual
So does anyone know how to get rid of this nothing startup process called "Program"?
Please put it simply as i'm a NOOB for the startup "area"

Exactly. Too much, too soon, too fast. Always reboot between program installs. Just safer.

to get it to stop coming up just click start>run>type 'msconfig'>startup tab at top of window>find programs and uncheck it, then reboot and hopefully it wont come up

The self unzipper got an error.
It is not in the startup folder as it was only unzipping !!

Maybe your downloads corrupt. Try redownloading it.

Nice trick.
Anyway , have you tried running a virusscan ? It just looks fishy - XP starting to act up after installing a program you probably got of the web... just in case...
