is there any program out there that i can use to password/locked a certain folder like my :-" pr0n :-"
im in a bit of a hurry so no time for google . ty

if youve got ntfs, then right click the folder, and go to advanced, then click encrypt contents to secure data, then the folder will only be openable from your username, and not any other users...this is if your running windows xp or 2000...maybe nt but i doubt ur running that...

heh, im running window xp, but im looking for a 3rd party program that does this cuz my mom account has administrative rights and im pretty sure she'll find a way to remove the password on my username.
and the option to encrypt it is greyed out

k, just rename the folder to .txt
it will also change the icon, just name it "read-me.txt"
no one ever opens the "read Me's" you can put it anywhere

how do you turn a folder into a file? i tried that, and its still a folder except that the name is readme.txt lol. am i doing something wrong?

lol...might try that sometime for some files
ohh magic folder sound good..i dled...havent tried it out cuz it need a reboot, i havent rebooted in about 4 days
