If I click on the "display offline bots" to no, it has no search results. If I leave it to "yes", none of the servers seems to be working. All it says is... connecting to "some server" (6667) then "unable to connect to server (connection timed out), then connect cancelled. It just repeats to every server I try to connect to.

That means all the bots that have the files you want are offline ().
If I leave it to "yes", none of the servers seems to be working.
Thats because your trying to download from bots that are offline ().

Yup.

Try looking at different XDCC websites, like www.packetnews.com for example.
-or-
Download something else.

ok jsut to let you know (from personal experiance) ircspy is the best looking and most user friendly site, but it produces very few results. The site that produces the most results, and never displays online bots is packetnews.com, it sort of has a bad layout and is loaded with banners & pop-ups though so be prepared. anyways thats my two cents
