Hey guys... I saw the thread about test ur browser, etc, and I though i would add something just as valuable.
My hacker buddies recommend this site to test out your pc's security, and firewall, etc.
Blackcodes System scan
Really good scan, very thorough, and detailed. Test it out...

Good test, passed it without any probs, always good to know that you are secure. I'd say ZAPro isn't so bad after all.

unplugNpray
port 5000 is left open by default on windows to use for plug n play. most scanners believe it to be the
de trois worm. But use unplug N pray and that port will be closed.
Blackcode is a cool site but i bet thesecurity scanner is not top notch.

I did a scan and it turned out ok - thx for the tip. Allthough i would like to mention there are a few more posts just about this topic - which brings me to my next point:
Maybe its time for a sticky on this subject?
If someone has the time (not me) to browse through all the topics about port scanning links/firewall links and sites - then that could be posted right here on "Tips" - this would save a lot of time for others. Of course the threads could be added to, but it would be easier for the MODS to sort out the spam and rubbish.
Nice post Schmiggy_JK23 Up to the challenge?
What say the MODS ?
Peace

Did the test and passed this one and similar:

Thanks Schmiggy they are allways fun to do.
If you look around there are dozens more like these and for basic settings-test they are OK.
However before one gets too confident, i'd like to point out that against skilled attackers who use methods like 'brute force' or buffer-attacks
most pc's are vulnerable .
This is not to scare anyone (you'd have to be targetted),but I hope just common sense.
As UKMan suggests a sticky is maybe not such a bad idea however :let's confine it to good configuration of firewall(there is already a good piece in the FAQ about ZoneAlarm).
