Downloaded an avi. Got video lan.
But when I play it with Videolan it just immediatly stopped
Can anyone please help?

Could be a corrupt file, or perhaps you are in need of codecs.

Thank for the reply,
Will have to download it again, but if i didn't hav the rit codecs, how do I know and how can I get them?. If you don't mind me asking?

If it doesn't play with videolan, it will never play at all.
It doesn't matter what codecs you have on you're machine, videolan doesn't need the once on you computer.
If you download it again, you will have the same problem. Videolan could still play the parts of the video that were not currupted, there is no way the whole thing could be currupted.
You will have to find a differnt source for whatever video it is that you want. Use Bit Torrent or IRC for best results. Other, lower level P2P programs (Kazaa, Emule) get sloppy seconds and are full of fakes.

I've used E-mule for about a year now and have not had ONE FAKE!!!
If you stick to the verified sites you should'nt get fakes!!!!

Ohh btw thanx, have got E-mule and am playing around with it. Just one more question if u don't mind me asking, when u download movies, do u have to download (1of2) and (2of2), to aquire the entire film? and does it have to have the same name for both parts?

put the movie through g-spot and it will tell you if the movie is corrupt
