These are all pictures that show or imply a disaster, personal or national. The first picture by Nick Ut even won several prizes because of it's 'esthetic value'. Why can't you show the 9/11 disaster then?
Because it's too fresh? The Napalm Girl-pic was published the day after it was taken
Because it's American? I believe American media work with a free press model

It's history, it might be art...No need to hide it.
