Best final fantasy?

thing about final fantasy is all of them I at least play and go through once a year and I cant say that about many games

The reason people clock so many hours in the game is that battles are turn based and talking to other characters is a slow process.

That and going around boosting your HP...but that's in hack n' slash PRGs too.

Did you ever try the Shining Force games on the Megadrive? Those were great games, tactical turn-based combat at its best with an engaging storyline. Worth playing on an emulator if you get the chance, they are defiently a part of RPG history. I think some sequels came out for the later Sega consoles but I had grown out of consoles by then

Is it a plus that I can take my time choosing a spell or sword slash then wait for the rest of party and the enemy's party to do so....or......

Move around, jump around, find where the enemy is hiding and pull that trigger to eventually dispatch him.

"I got a head shot and the enemy is dead. This game sucks. He didn't get his turn."

Damn now that I think about it, I think I'll play The Bard's Tale somore today. I started playing it and only went into the first level with the rat and haven't played since.

FFVIII is my favorite,then FFIX.
FFVIII has the best card game imo.
Would be cool if they had an online version of the card game.
