There is nothing stuck inside it,it no longer responds. If i plug in my mouse, it lights up only when i put it in the begining.
It is definetly not software related since the other USB port works.
What to do?

not use it?
is it the motherboards usb's or is it front usb ports, if its front...you can replace them...
If it is a front USB port then a wire could have come undone inside the pc...
But I think you have a laptop don't you, so I imagine it would be hard to fix.
USB ports are supposed to be designed to put up with thousands of insertions.
However (as usual), that's a lie, the contacts get bent back or the plastic insert breaks off (or both).
As Global suggests, see if you can find a replacement.
.Political correctness is based on the principle that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
im not sure if we are talking about a desktop or laptop, but laptop usb would be harder to replace, obviously
smack it a couple times.

my front panel USB ports occasionally stop working. i get the device has malfunctioned error. the fix is always either unplugging the PC for an hour or the USB device.
