i have big hds. 1 tb akkll togerher, much hds.
I have close to that.. 960 to be exact.. and I'm needing more.
I'm trying to figure out how I should expand it. I also want to setup raid in case one of the hdd's fails.. cause I definitely don't want to lose any of it.
1.4TB plus some unused space on operating system partitions ... including my fileserver that works as both backup and storage. The only RAID I run is a 160GB Raid-0 on my fileserver for important data. Anything else could be wiped out for all I care - there's always the possibility to download it again or copy it from a friend. And yeah, I don't have any kind of other backups (CD, DVD), so those 1.4TB are always 3/4 filled. 90% of the stuff I download is deleted again and sometimes I archive it in 720p/1080i highdef quality if available.
320GB at the moment, but fixing to add a Seagate 500GB for my music collection and file sharing purposes.
yo
I have 240 built into my laptop and an external 120 gig. Its enough room, I just have to delete movies once i watch them.
Desktop:
2x160gb + 250gb external
Laptop:
2x160gb
Total of 890gb
I do NOT keep all I download unless it's music. I have a ton of HDD space amongst my four computers but a lot of it is used for backups. If I download a movie, when I watch it, it's deleted.
PC: 120 GB + 500 GB
Laptop: 2x 80 GB
