Yeah, despite it being a bit gay.
Seriously though...
I know what you're saying man and I know how you feel. I was down and out for the last few weeks as well. I've just been lucky that my sis in law was over and she managed to talk me through the worst of it.
Anyway; I've started living with the philosophy of 'everything happens for a good reason'. Because experience has taught me that it does.
If you didn't get this job now, you're probably just meant to be somewhere else or do something else which will bring you more happiness
As for the puffing... I don't smoke anymore but I used to find it helpful to ease of the stuff for a week or two every now and then. Stops you getting too paranoid or spaced out.

I know what I have to do. It's time to step up to the plate and be a man.
I have a beautiful family and some fine friends.
Btw, I'm glad to hear you doing better, Sonja. I knew you would pull through. You're a decent person with a fair soul.
I've always thought that.
The Lounge...FTW! Thanks, Lizards.

Reading Skweeky's words reminded me of the following...
"the requirements of your process may totally disrupt what you had intended. Hoped for outcomes my elude you. Yet what you regard as detours, inconveniences, disruptions, obstacles and even failures will actually be rerouting opportunities, with union and reunion as the only abiding destinations."
Good luck Paul, you are indeed in an important period in your life.
