BT Rep: +1
I have an eSata external enclosure (for two hard drives) and with my old system I was able to use hot-plug (swap hard drives and the OS automatically detected them).
my new pc's Asus P5K Deluxe motherboard has two eSata ports however I cant get hot-plug to work. I have to manually search for new hardware or reboot my pc for the hard drives to be detected.
I guess some settings have to be made in Bios but I'am not too familiar with it :-(
my OS is Vista Ultimate
would greatly appriciate any help

I have the same board but no have any eSata devices to play with. I saw on another forum, one memeber said that this is a known issue under Vista that eSATA (hot plug) does not work right.
