Hi,
I use Windows XP Pro SPI I just installed Nero Ultra 6 (6.0.0.11). Whenever i try to burn a cd i get an error "drive in use by other application'. I dont have any other cd burning apps or packet writing software installed.
Any clues on what might be happening and how to resolve this.

hi there !
i have the same setup as you !
whenever that has happened to me, i check the tool bar on desktop(bottom right hand corner) and make sure INCD is not on (green color)
also when you open Nero to burn go to Recorder and make sure your burner is
selected not Image Recorder
hoping this helps

start/run/type: services.msc
click ok
scroll to imapi cd burning and set it to (at least manual) if not disabled.or, when this problem occurs, open taskmanager and check under Processes that imapi is not running. end it if it is.

hi there !
as Konnie suggested, disable XP burner Roxio(Nero and Roxio will clash)
this is another way to do it. go to Administrative Tools in control panel in the Services list, disable IMAPI CD-Burning Com service. manual setting is not enough it must be disabled, just double click on Imapi CD and in new window set to disable Apply and thats it.
hoping this helps

They need to make a patch which automaticly does that.
