glad i read this, i was about to restart.. i guess ill have to leave my pc on forever.

Well, that doesnt help me one bit since i dont even know where to find the damn hostfiles. I love you guys for helping eachother out here.... not!

Here is the fix:

Find your hosts file,
in Windows XP it is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
in Windows 2000 it is C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
in Windows 98 it is C:\WINDOWS\hosts
I'm not sure what it is in ME/95.

Now open the file with Notepad.
Add these four lines to the very bottom of the file:

38.115.131.131 sk2.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 www.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 mail.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 server.slsk.org

Now go to: File\Save (Not Save-As)

This will solve the problem.

Or though it was earlier today....try it and see.I did it today and it worked.....but have not been off of SS since then.

does somebody wanna send here the host their host file through msn. then all you have to do is place it in the folders FC has already said.
