Oh yeah you do. Bottle necking= The older CPU will actually slow down the vid card so you will not have a noticeable difference in performance man.

Save up get a new rig. CPU, Mobo, Vid card and PSU Around $400 reasonably I would think. Maybe less.

    You forgot RAM.

    And $400, really?
Maybe if you're buying off the back of Guido's truck...

LOL yeah about $400 if the budget is real tight he could get a BB kit from tiger ( I know you dislike them but in a pinch they're cheap. Now these arent really good parts at all but it'll get the job done for now and upgrade as the money becomes available

GeForce XFX MG-63MI-7109 Socket 775 Barebones Kit - Intel Pentium Dual E2200 2.20GHz OEM, OCZ Platinum 2048MB PC6400 DDR2, 160GB HD, XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX, ATX Mid Tower Case $299.99

Intel DG31PR Socket 775 Barebone Kit - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz OEM, 2GB DDR2 PC6400, ATX Mid-Tower Case, 800 Watt Power Supply $399 granted this doesn't have the vid card he wanted so this one is a little more but it's a quad core system.

Need I comment on the quality of PSUs bundled with cheap cases?

    No, I think not.

    False- and potentially lethal- economy.
Besides, he already has a PC and presumably, it's parts work so he can still get his daily LOLcats fix as he saves a few more bucks and buys something worth having.

Haha, LOLcats... they disgust me =/

    So.. I'm gonna get:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150314
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817703016 (Made especially for Dell PC's)

And the vid card has a bundle special that comes with one of 2 motherboards:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813141010
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813141011

I don't want to buy a new system either though. I have enough RAM on this one for pretty much any game.. All I need is a new video card and the necessary upgrades for it to run smoothly...
    o hai
