Since utorrent is a single executable file requiring no other dependencies, it is extremely simple to run in an virtual environment on any other platform i.e. using Wine or CXO under Linux and Parallels under MacOS if you wish, once again the amount of system resources used (even within a virtualbox ) is nominal.

uTorrent in wine works well. I didn't like compiling my old KDE client and as I joined more trackers I found uTorrent was white listed the most.

I've been using Vuze (azuras) for the longest time, but I think its time for me to find a tut for utorrent and finally switch over. I've never been all that happy with vuze.

You hardly need a tutorial to use uTorrent. The speed guide automatically configures your connection settings based on the results of a speed test. Most of the other ones are self-explanatory, and the rest is very well-documented by the manual.
