You can tell them to take a flying jump. There was a case recently of a vicar who refused to let the inspectors into his home to prove that he didn't have a TV. He said it was up to them to prove they had grounds to believe he did have one. I think he won....I should look it up.

I had some woman from the organisation which tries to enforce it here call me up late at night, last year. I kept denying I had a telly, she got all mad at me. Kinda' pissed me off in the end. I dunno what she got so mad about, had the sound off the telly turned pretty low in the background. Not as if she could tell, or at least not for sure.

And she threatened to send someone to check on me. Pretty much said she was going to in the end. I was all "k, do that". So she hung up on me.

No one came to check if I had a telly. I was quite disappointed I was.

They do that here, but they're all mouth and no trousers. They have no real power. There's not a civilised democracy on Earth that will allow state representatives to enter your home without judicial process. They do become quite hysterical trying though, bless them.
