do i convert the entire file then split it? if so how do i?
Yes encode the entire file then split. I take u mean how to spilt just go to file>Mpeg tools hit the merge & cut tab then clik add to add the .mpg then double-clik the file or simply clik edit then set where u want to cut the file and then hit run.Originally posted by downloadgeek@22 September 2003 - 19:01

It doesn't take long to split the file. just start encoding and see how long it takes.Originally posted by downloadgeek@22 September 2003 - 20:56

if it's a .avi you can burn it using XCD, available at sourceforge.
What do i have to download to burn it using XCD, i was kinda confused when i went to that site.
for that you need tmpgenc (in my sig)
it will convert your movies to mpeg1(vcd) or mpeg2(svcd)
for spliting tmpgenc will split mpg (what you have to convert it to to play on stand alone player)
but if you want to split avi
get virtal dub mod (like virtul-dub just better build)
free program and does alot of handy things removies audio/bad frams
too much to list[/b][/quote]
no, i didn't mean VCD, i really meant XCD.
if u use bsi loadmaker, it has xcd "built-in". bsi loadmaker is a tool used to burn DivX/XviD movies, so even if you put the burnt cd in a computer which has no player or/and codecs installed, it will play the movie flawlessly. works like a charm.
another way to achieve the 800mb is using cdrdao. you can download cdrdao here, a command-line program that allows you to burn cd's in mode2 - form2. in other words, you can burn approx. 800mb in a 700mb cd. as i said before, this is recommended for AUDIO or VIDEO files.
search google and you'll find some GUI's to make it easier.

You can burn 797mb on a 700mb cd with nero as vcd without using all that cdrdao shit.
