    going next week.

its informal cause the football players complained that they didn't have time to go from the game to getting ready for the dance..

i dont mind cause that slashed ticket prices by 2/3's and i don't have to pay for my date's.

    no dinner cost either! woohoo!

I am getting more and more confused. I think I will go to the club at my Alma Mater and get drunk.

Here in the Uk it would be called a school re-union. Is that about right?
Actually it is much more informal than that. The "homecoming" dance is really for the highschool kids, not for the alumni.

In formal reunions, invitations are sent out and a party for the alum. planned. Reunions are usually restricted to a certain year or group of years. A homecoming is just a time for anybody who ever went to that school to show up at the football game.

This is more of a big deal in college, really. Homecoming is when you and those college friends you have kept up with, pile into a car and return to your Alma Mater for a day of tailgating (google it) and a night of bar hopping. The game usually is against your biggest "rival" so passion for the game is running high.

At a formal reunion, you usually take your wife, at these she stays at home, unless she is an alumnus, as well.
Aren't we in the trust tree, thingey?
