I`d agree UPnP is the easy option (it allows ports based on clients on local network requests). When/if confident then setup custom TCP/UDP port forwarding rules and lose DHCP and setup or allocate static addresses for any boxes (PC/games boxes/TVs etc).
uPnP is still the easy option but just depends how much control you want over open ports to the outside world.... all very nice if you run the application(s), not so great if it is some virus opening the door.
