What exactly will the 8MB cache do? Send data reallly fast and stuff? Like does having 8MB of cache allow stuff to load faster and stuff? like opening up progs off the HDD?

hehee lol dawg the more cache you have the better buffer you have between your harddrive and your mobo... that buffer can determine your sped of data transfer throughout the system if you go skimpy on it...
btw i have a raid set up of 2 250 gigers (new word )
and only about 50 gs left
gotta share P2P man!!

I have two PC's. First has two hard drives 120Gb and 80Gb, but only have 6 gigs free. I have too many tv programs on it and cant be bothered to convert them to watch on dvd player.
Second PC, this one (an older model) i have 80gigs and about another 6 gig free.
I really need to back up the stuff i have on to disk otherwise the space will disappear soon
But my prob. is do i convert the tv progs i've recorded so i can watch them on my dvd player or just copy them on data format
I need to think very hard

Oh yes, i forgot to mention, i could delete the useless partition i'm testing windows longhorn on and gain another 20 gigs on this PC

encode them with xvid or divx and keep them on ur tv. then use tv out to watch them on tvOriginally posted by Robert00000@5 December 2003 - 23:59

I only have like 60 gigs free because most of my hard drives are full of huge .wave files (all grateful dead stuff, yes I am a hippy)
