The PCI "thingie" is the controller/power supply for the Peltier device and the fan.
Condensation can be a problem under extreme conditions, but I don't believe that this unit will reach that stage.

i know condensation is associated with peltiers. they get the cpu below 0, and when u turn it off, the liquid condenses and forms drops of water on ur chip. by by cpu

This particular Peltier device will not get the CPU anywhere within shouting range of 0 degC.

Although, if one were considering using this setup, I think you would be wise to see my thread from earlier today concerning dual PSUs.
Add this device and maybe 3-5 USB devices ( not that hard to do...my keyboard, mouse and smartcard reader are all USB) and you now have a fairly significant draw just with the mobo alone.

And that's not even mentioning the disco ball...

Its 100 bucks because its a pretty valuable piece of equipment, wouldnt mind having one myself,although the talk of condensation worrys me

I think it still runs off the computer's power supply.

That's what I was going to say until I saw that it comes bundled with this...

so apparently it does not.
From what I've read about this setup it's performance is still bottlenecked by the efficiency of the heatsink, which frankly, doesn't impress me as being all that good.

Now combine that with a decent waterblock and you may have something...
