Hello
Im installing Windows 98 onto an older laptop which has windows 95 currently installed.
Pproblem is The windows 98 installation disk is not an upgrade disk so how do I install?
I tried shutting windows down into dos mode and running the setup that way but it still detects that theres windows installed and tells me I have to get an upgrade disk.
Can I just delete all the windows directories in dos mode and then run setup?
Thanks alot for any help

y not keep win98 on the old lap top coz if u upgrade it 2 98 u will have less space on ur hardrive.
u can format c: from the dos prompt and do a fresh install or u can just do c:deltree\windows (im a bit rusty with DOS) or have u try to start win95 and then upgrade to 98 the normal way ie my computer, d drive setup ect....
