I'm sure I wasn't missed, but I agree with you, sir:

The mods do a job not many of us could, or would, do.

I have, on occasion, mused as to what being a mod would be like; contrary to what I'm sure would be popular sentiment here, I think I have exactly the temperament for the job, but when I consider the investment of time, and giving over what I get from this forum in lieu of what I'd be required to give, I'm sorry, I wouldn't be willing.

All those who complain should walk a mile in a Mod's shoes.

They are not perfect, but I have never heard them claim to be, which in any case is beside the point.

I have done a lot of that type of thing, and it is for the most part a thankless duty; if you think that doesn't mean much, try to rmember how you felt the last time you extended yourself for a cause not strictly for your own benefit-in other words, the last time you did someone a favor.

Did you receive thanks?

Probably.

If the shoe is on the other foot, do you give thanks?

Probably.

Are any of us in the habit of spontaneously thanking the Mods or Admins?

Not that I've noticed.

Please put me on the "Thank You" list for those who keep KLF afloat.

I don't agree with every specific thing that is done, but on the whole I really like the way this place is run.

Anyone who has tried other fora will have experienced how heavy handed moderation can be. Or so laid back as to make it pointless.

I like the balance here.

I think being a mod would be fairly easy.

Most things come down to simple logic.

One problem is different mods handle things different from one another.

And I&#39;d still like to know how a skin contains security features.
