    Is the harddrive still under warranty? If it is they will want to know the 3 ? digit code . You get that from running powermax. If not under warranty your shit out of luck.

    If your hearing Clicking Noises your hard drive is messed it ether has bad sectors or internal damage. If its from Maxtor there is a 3 year warrenty. With Power max u need to boot with that disk

    Clicking generally means its about to go.

    My 14 gig went this way.

    I think this is an internal fault with the hard drive and nothing that software can fix, but I may be wrong.

    nope no software can fix it. I play with clicky hard drives all day I work at a computer store that does data recovery I like some looks I get from people when I tell them the price to get there data back after I hear click and the bios cannot see it

    lol clicks dont always mean that theres sumtin wrong with the drive

    it could just be the head moving from the edge to the center many times per second. that can create a beautiful series of clicking noises
