    Sit down.

And if you like the Stronghold series, then I would recommend Rome: Total War. You will like it much.

I am also a big rts fan, currently playing warhammer to death. mine mostly

Starcraft is magic but similar in many ways to Warcraft I feel, so if Warcraft didn't grab you then I dunno bout it.

A lot of the better rts's have been mentioned above just to add to them...... Age of Mythology series is ok, Blitzkrieg series is really good with a slightly different approach, the c and c series obviously, stronghold as you have mentioned, total annihilation, settlers , etc etc

Starcraft is pretty fun. There is a Starwars version of Age of Empires 2, that is exactly like it, except with all starwars stuff.

I realy liked starcraft (and brood war), just meant that if you didn'tr like warcraft then you may not like starcraft.

Are you talking about Galactic Battlegrounds?

OMFG I CANT WAIT!!! Red Alert 2 owned. I hope WestWood (or whatever the name of the company that made Red Alert 2 is) is making it.

Yeah that is it, Galactic Battlegrounds. I thought it was horrible, because it was exactly like AOE2 in every single way, except the units looked different and were named different things.
