The word "pwn" came from a computer game. It was a Japanese computer game and it was being translated into English...unfortunately the translator was some Japanese guy who couldn't speak English. When you beat someone in the game it was meant to say: "You own (opponent’s name)!"
But the guy translating made a typo and hit P instead of O.

Thus it would say "You pwn (opponent’s name)!"

Or at least that's what my brother tells me, he's a hardcore gamer so he should know.

The actual story is that it comes from a Warcraft map but no-one ever seems to know which one. Etymologists in the future will probably just say it was a word that developed from the internet, that's good enough for me.

It's too easy to win so instead keep a count of the 'clean sheets' you keep. That is, when you don't score any points.

Add them up at the end of the game, if your total is less than the combined total of the other 3 computer players, then you've won. Otherwise you're a loser, baby.
