Kill all unneccessary processes, you're comp's probably a lagwhore infested with like 200 spyware and adware programs.
I have a P3 500mhz laptop, and that doesn't even lag with firefox.

@BrolyBoo, run AdAware and Spybot in "safemode with networking enabled".
Then run Microsoft AntiSpyware in windows' regular mode to find anything else that may have slipped past the other 2 scans.

ok, this is what happened
i got a virus so i rebooted my computer
then, when i run firefox and move down a page and it lags
and then, when i move any window, it still lags wtf
how can i fix it?
btw, i didnt adaware and spybot

If you mean reformatted rather than rebooted then you might not have installed your video drivers - that usually causes lag when scrolling.
If you do mean rebooted, then you might wanna get rid of that virus first, then run adaware/spybot.
