probably not 50gbs, because spam is normally small files, but it clutters up your inbox and you cant really get rid of it, only block it

Your identity can only be stolen if someone figures out your password along with your email addy. If by any chance you use the same username and password on most of your sites that certain someone could also infiltrate those.
The spam you will receive will be so overwhelming that you might consider abandoning your email address. By that point self loathing would overcome you. And all we could do is say "We told you so" but then it would be to late and inappropriate of us to look down upon you.
