If you want some tool for previewing i recommend Mediapeek or if you want a media player try BSplayer.

Yes, videolan is horrible when you want to rewind the film 2 mn earlier 4 example.
And it take the cunt ages to launch. But with all the bug Bs player can't solve, I still like it a lot.
