you cant just say dont do that. theres absolutely no motivation. family has been trying to get me to stop for years and have now given up. i have been doing it ever since i can remember. i dont even plan on stopping any time soon.

and yes, im pretty good at it.

I tried it once (biting my nails) but gave up in frustration; they just defied my best efforts.
Perhaps your habit would be best regarded, or characterized, as an indicator of your resolve to stay "on task"?

Another question of pure resolve; this would seem to be one of those activities which scream for total commitment-anything less=wet thighs.
