I've noticed more people complaining about the speed of Firefox on their Linux.
Must say it concerns somewhat myself too.
Has anyone found a solution for this?

Opera Browser.
Or, you can remove all extentions, then remove Firefox. Re-install Firefox and re add the extensions. Some seem to think it broke on an update and its an extension causing the problem.
Hope that helps.

Oh, so sticky.
I would say this is IPv6's fault. In the laster versions of Firefox, IPv6 is enabled as default. IPv6 is an improvement of the standard IPv4-protocol.
To turn it off, type in 'about:config' and search for the string 'network.dns.disableIPv6' and enable it by setting the value to 'true'.
Then the problem should theoretically be solved. Throw in another post if you need assistance.

Yes, or you could just get Swiftfox, which automatically adjust to your processor for optimal web browsing.

Re: Slow Firefox
You could try the fasterfox extension.
