    hey metro,
ive never downloaded any but when i was reading another topic i noticed
someone said there was all kinds of Stephen King in kazaa or (k-lite) to
download. so i went to search and under audio/all & documents/all for
ebooks i hit on both searches for Dean Koontz. Koontz is almost as
popular as King is and in my opinion is as atleast as good a writer.
be sure to drop the "R" though in his early books he used his middle initial
but his last several books, and for some time, ive noticed he no longer
uses his middle initial/i wouldnt have thought that would make a difference
but i tried searching with the "R" and didnt get a result. even dropping
the "R" it took several searches (on auto search) and a couple minutes to get a
    result. hope this helps.

The Shining is one of my favs, i've re-read it a few times.

I didn't find it to be scary, but its a really good book that keeps you in suspense. a must read in my opinion!!
