I've red a tip about xp wich said:
When you close an application, Windows keep the DLL used in memory, & this slow down the system
The tip was:
Run regedit and find the location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Explorer
Then create this new sword value:AlwaysUnloadDll, and give it the value 1.
I applied this tip to my computer, and I would like to know if it really works, because it seems strange to me that microsoft would slown down voluntary people's computers for no reasons.

I got this tweak added to my computer too. I personally can't tell if it made my computer faster.

It seems strange? Come on! This is Microsoft we're talking about.

I think that if you have a large quantity of RAM (1 GB), then it might be a good Idea. if you primarily work with DV, play games, etc... it probably will slow down your computer.
