That doesn't seem right to me since I think most 1080 movies get released as a .mkv file which is a container that holds all the movie.
What file extension do they have?
An could they be some kind of file format like 7z or rar that is used to split large releases and you just need to extract it.

it seems you have downloaded a full HDDVD or BLURAY...i think....how big is th download.
also: 1080i has the SAME level of quality as 720p, if not worse.
