work directory is basically where the directory where the exe is located in, for example K-dat.exe's working directory is klite folder, which means you find that exe in the klite folder(directory)
the icon just like with any other program in your desktop you can choose any icon you like from any directory that has an icon file, for example:
when you add videolan as a tool, the .ico file( the icon file) is not there for you to use as an icon, so now you can either make an .ico file for it or you can choose any .ico file from any programs or files on your pc and use that icon in place of the videolan icon
