well, here in israel its 18, very fair. BUT loads of kids drink alcohol at home (around the age of 12-13-14).

lol, my brother whos 8 drinks a sherry once a week

I believe it's 21 in most of the states of the United States. I suppose that the fairness of this age depends on which side of the age bracket u'r standing on.
