and even with a fast comp, higher speeds increase the chances of things going wrong............ but @ 50 cents/CD who cares????
just try it first (if your using nero, simulate)
great FTP site for awesome quality video clips
yeah, you have to sign up, but its worth it
MY burner is old so it can only burn up to 8x but i like 4x slow and steady wins the race

i would choose the max. (8 speed in your case), it shouldnt create any errors, otherwise the manufacturer wouldnt sell it as that speed.Originally posted by Keikan@18 February 2004 - 00:30

highest my burner\cd's can support. whats teh point in the slow speeds? ive never had a problem burning and even if i did i wouldnt care, $1 a cd at most.
its good 2 burn at a slow speed bcuz if u burn at the max speed u can loose data bcuz when i use 2 burn at my max speed whick is i think 48x i lost 1 whole song off of a cd all i was able 2 here wuz 7 seconds of the song then it would go un to the next song
used to have a problem like that with easy cd creater (whoever made that..forgot..starts with an a lol)..i think that might be a software prob not hardware.
