In just the little time that I have put into this, I have learned that know matter what program you use it is going to take a lot of time, especially for larger .AVI files
Plus to get the quality that would be worth playing on a stand alone DVD Player
You will need to have a very high quality .AVI file and in some cases 2 DVD’s to Burn with. (or maybe you have a dual layer DVD burner. Like me :-) )
I had a 700MB AVI file and WinAVI turned it into a 8.5GB file… Great Quality though!!
Just a few observation!

try running it thru dvdshrink you probaly won't notice the quality difference and it will get you back down to a single layer disc(dl's are so expensive still)

Well Ive used vos and it turns the avi into a dvd ready vob set in less than 1 hour for a 700mb to a dvd5 and the quality is quite good also. The software is currently freeware, at least the last time I checked and the website is at http://www.vso-software.fr/ if you want to take a look. If you cant find the app there you can get it HERE if you want to check it out...

I hate to say it but your slightly confused. You have to put all these ""Video_TS.BUP…….8KB
Video_TS.IFO……..8KB
VTS_01_0.BUP……76KB
VTS_01_0.IFO…….76KB
VTS_01_1_.VOB….4,097,062KB
VTS_01_2.VOB……2,314,562KB "" files into the "video-dvd files"section in nero or it won't work. You will need a double layer disc to burn it if you don't use dvdshrink......open up a folder named "VIDEO_TS" put the files in it and use dvdshrink to make it smaller...
