Might be as simple as what you have loading at start up. Every thing you install , wants to acess the net for updates , run in the background. A good example is audio or video setting programs, running in the system tray. Keep your start list short.Try a program like regseeker or spybot, they have tools to disable or delete entries .



There are many more like system mechanic , but the two I mention are freeware .
