Ok I ran into a problem the other day. I downloaded a .bin file that had an .exe extension on it so I guess people could find it in the software searches. Well it said just rename it to xxxxxx.bin and burn using the cue file. Well I removed the .exe but it still recognized it as a exe file. Wtf? I was just wandering if there was any trick to doing this. Im running Windows ME. yes yes I know, Im gonna get XP here soon. Thanks for any help in advance

I've had a couple like that just burnt them using Nero without any problems.
And yeah, ditch ME and get into XP.

you have to change the extension, not only the name, you can do so in dos mode. (c:change *****.exe *****.bin) I know there are programs wich can change it but i donīt know the names i alway do it the old fashioned way

wait, why can't you just change the extension in good 'old windows ?
select the file , hit F2 and rename away ~!
p/s: press enter when you're done ya ?
