Counterstrike

I'm a complete computer idiot, and i need some help. First of all i've downloaded a huge file, half life counterstrike, and i can't get it to open. If anyone can help me to solve the problem. Please tell me what kind of steps i must take to open the damn file that would be reallly helpful.

You have to give a little more information.. What kind of file was it? Image? Rip? Filename? Your shoesize?

Well I'm sorry to say this but Counter-Strike is an online game so even if you get it to work you will need a working cd key to play it. And as far as I know there aren't much working hacks or key generators around for it, for more info on the game Counter-Strike check out my homepage (http://users.pandora.be/zip1)!!

if you downloaded it why don't you give the hash file here?
two reasons to do that;

1) THIS IS THE VERIFIEDS (i hate to yell, but anyway) so you make your post a verified one instead a request!

Point is (Jetje's right on this) that verifieds are meant for verified files. If there's a question regarding a verified, then it's alright (IMHO) to post it as a reply to that verified. If this is a question not regarding a verified, then it should be posted in questions.

It is possible to share one game over two computers, so Chris if you have a friend that has CS and hasn't shared it with someone else, than you can install his cd on your pc. The game does not require a cd, just the cd-key.

If you have the original halflife with the original cd key then counterstrike is a free download anyway and should work with your original halflife check this site for evrything halflife including loads of maps and loads of free to download extras including counterstrike, teamfortress classic, natural selection and loads more.

I think the reason that he called it Half-life Counter Strike is because that is the name of the file he dl'd......most of the cs files that ive seen, that are just the MOD, are not called Half-life Counter Strike, they are called like : Counter-Strike, CS, Counter Strike and so on.

So in other words, im pretty sure he has the retail version, just to slim the answers down.....

Counter-Strike is a modifiction for half-life wich means that you need the original HL to install CS.

i dont hack counter strike it works with the original version of half life which i have and the key for half life works with all the extras including counter strike. + counter strike is a free download if you have the original halflife so go and but the original its got to be cheap enough now.

Not everyone in cs hacks....you just must be going to some gay servers titled, "hackerz only" and expecting for people that dont use hacks not to be there....f*ck i mean seriously, there are ton's of godam pub. servers that use cs-guard, or hl-guard, and not many hacks go through those monsters...i know.

plenty of people that use cs do NOT use hacks.

When you use hacks you are just showing you are to lazy, or to much of a dumbshit to learn how to play the goddam game...christ...

Hacking is just for hackers... Also I know for a FACT that not everyone hacks in cs. I dont even hack, the people that I play with dont even hack (or at least I dont think they do). I havn't even tried to hack, the game is probably more fun without hacks than with. Oh ya, at our school they let us put counter strike on the computer and we play with 30 people at the same time, boy is that sweet, to bad there planing to take it down, anyways none of us hack...

There is no verified here because it does not exist! Fact? Yes!

Hacking is for losers who can't play the game! The only "hack" I did was tweak the config+console (see guide here (http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/cstrike/index.shtml)), that is 100% legit and improved my gameplay a lot too!

in my neighbourhood LAN gaming centre, the CS are modified. the time clock looks better, graphics aint choppy n dont appear as blocks(n my VGA is 128 at home so its not the gay VGA thing) better modified guns (like the machine gun) n the C4 looks better n they got matrix skins n stuff. how do they do that? :blink:

I think that cheats are just that: cheats.
They are by definition unfair and cheaters should therefore be kicked.

Look at this Movie (http://movies.flabber.nl/cheater/) if you're caught cheating...
Although I think that's a bit harsh...
