Here's another tip! When you download anything from kazaa, do a manual virus scan for it! In addition, I would recommend scheduling a nightly virus-scan! If using Norton AV, then schedule, and in the control panel add /L /noresults after "~~NAVW32.exe". It should look something like this:
"C:Program FilesNorton SystemWorksNorton AntiVirusNAVW32.exe" /L /noresults
(note: backward slashes do not show, so don't copy&paste)
That will get rid of the annoying results screen!
....That's a way of preventing 99% of viruses from killing your PC!
EDIT: This also means that you can turn the auto-protect feature off, since it is a big resource-hog!
A tip regarding spyware! Download adaware and schedule it to run on windows start-up. Then goto control panel->scheduled tasks. In there you should find the scheduled adaware-run, right click the file->properties->change it to run everynight when your not using it->It should look something like this:
"C:Program FilesLavasoft Ad-AwareAd-aware.exe" /auto /log
(note: backward slashes do not show, so don't copy&paste)
Note: This can also be done manually, by adding /auto /log to a scheduled adaware!
...and your computer is 98% spyware free! The other 2% can be taken care of by spybot!

The /L stands for log, so the next day you can always see what it did. And if NAV actually detected a virus, it will say so!
