Why that comment just came out of the blue, on a topic about "Music Download FORUMS", I have no clue. But if you insist on using programs like SLIMEwire, you really should ditch that spyware infested, backdoor-trolling, resource-eating, sorry-excuse-for a piece of software. Try using something like Soulseek. You don't have to *pay* for PRO versions and ad-free versions either. It's always been free and always will be. Sharing is caring...so is free.

General warez boards are ok for general sounds, but music only forums & genre specific blogs (with SLSK filling the gaps) is how i've collected my music .

Music forums (registration required)

http://skafunkrastapunk.com/forum/ - very good selection, good community . The Bloggers Lounge is a good starting point for music blogs .

http://forum.funkysouls.com (http://forum.funkysouls.com/) - It's russian (but English speakers are welcome), takes a bit of getting used to, but if you persevere, it'll be your 1st port of call . Clicking on the British Flag icon, changes the forum setup to English, thats half the battle solved . Each band has a seperate thread, placed in a genre forum, links & requests are added to each thread . The Search facility is essential, but querky . The default only searches the forum you're currently viewing, so it's best to navigate to the main page & search from there .
Most Russians use Rapidshare.ru, which non-Ruskies tend to avoid, but there's normally alternative links you can use . Sounds confusing, but it's well worth it .
