View Full Version : Warning - Kazaa Lite Skin - Eight Ball - Is Avirus
unknown

I recently downloaded a Kazaa Skin (Eight Ball). When I clicked on the downloaded setup file a program was opened that completly erased my entire harddrive, but left the folders. I had to reinstall Windows and all my programs. Unless someone happened to hack my firewall and send me a virus at the same time I was opening the Kazaa skin, I suspect the skin contained the virus.

I Downloaded a virus called hantaner, it was in a Divx codec "All you need to play Divx Movies"
It is not a particularly harmful virus, but it is detected by AVG, Sophos has issued an update and description at
http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w...2hantanera.html (http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w32hantanera.html)
has anybody else seen this virus?

If you download Norton Antivirus 2003 professional it can restore your files. because the professional version comes with a handy tool. so when files are deleted it can restore them.

Isn't it suppose to erase your song files not every file? Also it asks something like "do you want to see some magic?" then counts down...
