new speakers.headphones only work left side

i got some new speakers. they have no headphone input so i plug em in the speaker input in the back of my computer and they only work on the left side. the slider is in the middle on volume. i slide it to the right and it just gets lower volume. with my old speakers they worked perfect and i could plug my headphones in the speakers. any suggestions on how to fix this?

i have soundMAX integrated onboard sound (lol) if that helps unless more specs are needed

probably you allready tried it but maybe the plug isn't making very good contact, try to play around with it a bit. (eg plug it out a millimeter) that solved the problem for me once.

ofcource if possible check if the boxes work fine on your stereo if you have a converter plug

never mind the headphones shorted on the right side i guess when i plugged these speakers in. i'll just buy some sennheiser hd 202's from walmart, they are like 24 dollars or sumtn.
