what does OEM mean? second-hand? out-of-box? or something...?

For example, OEM software/hardware=no fancy box, just the discs/hardware. OEM is therefore cheaper sometimes much cheaper. One difference is cpus. Retail cpus come w/HSF & 3yr warranty. OEM cpus come wo/HSF & a much shorter warranty sometimes as low as 15days. IMHO go OEM except cpus.
